Ron Hardy aka Tarumbae was born May 16, a Taurus.

Tarumbae brings to the stage an abundance of real world life experiences and positive consciousness. He delivers energetic, charismatic and emotional performances that are original and spontaneously explosive. Certainly not an arm chair philosopher, Ron Hardy brings an abundance of spiritual insight into his lyrics.

At age 10, Tarumbae began as a public speaker, poet and writer. Over the years Ron has worked hard and emerged as a dynamic percussionist with a unique style of his own.

Since his debut production in 1986 "Midnite Reggae Groove" a 12" single that Ron wrote, produced and arranged, he has continued to bring positive and flavorful music to the world. He demonstrated this again on his 1991 release "Warzone" a 8 song LP. Again you can hear and feel Tarumbae's  vibe on his 1995 release "Book 3 Synthesis" recorded in Helsinki, Finland with the "No Explanation" band.

Tarumbae  has a passion for painting and attended the Academy of Art in San Francisco, CA. Ron has also worked as a DJ on KPOO 89.5 FM in San Francisco, CA.

Ron Hardy is also a Louisiana State Roster Artist as well as listed in the state of Louisiana's Touring Directory as Ron Hardy aka Tarumbae and Friends.

Currently, Ron instructs the Wider Education Thru MusicParticipation, a program  developed and designed by Ron Hardy in 1985 at San Francisco's Buchanan YMCA, to teach understanding and building rhythms for youth and adults. Additionally, he is an instructor for the Urban Music Workshop, another program Ron developed to teach young aspiring artists the nuts and bolts of the music industry. Ron Hardy is also the Founder and Executive Director of Playaz & Playettes, Inc., a non-profit charitable educational corporation in Shreveport, Louisiana.

"Tarumbae" means:
Spiritual Prince of Black Love.

"Black Love" means:
Living in harmony with the Earth and in rhythm with the Universe.

His latest release "Unplugged And Off The Chain"  exemplifies Tarumbae’s dedication and passion for playing percussion as he displays his creative abilities as a writer, arranger, producer and performer.

Ron Hardy aka Tarumbae vibrates the audience with his music and spirit. Ron's unique American Southern blend of ethnic drumming and voices uses intense harmonies with percussion on a wide variety of styles ranging from gospel, reggae, blues, R&B and pop, to brilliant original works.

Tarumbae's captivating new sounds using tribal drum rhythms celebrates the creative spirit and vision of Northwest Louisiana's diverse cultural heritage. Ron Hardy has traveled across the U.S., Jamaica and Europe teaching and studying for four years in Finland before returning to the Northwest Louisiana area.

Ron Hardy aka Tarumbae is also available for lectures, demonstrations, workshops and seminars on the use of drums and percussion in relaxation, education, and relationship bonding, as well as on the Wider Education thru Music Participation program.
