"Music is a construction and a new
sound is an invention."- Ron Hardy aka Tarumbae During the early years (1980-1992) of Tarumbae's musical journey, San Francisco proved to be the right place for Ron Hardy's innovative ideas. His strong funk influence along with his passion for Reggae drove Ron to pioneer into a new sound and style. Blending Funk and Reggae, Tarumbae began developing his own unique sound and style. "I've always wanted to do something to music. I never felt comfortable imitating or repeating what had been done or what I was already hearing. I wanted and still want to impact music with something so original yet acceptable and pleasing to the ear...something that says this is Ron's contribution to music." As
Tarumbae continues to grow as a recording artist, producer, and writer, his goal
comes closer to reality. During the four year Since 1996, Ron has resided in Shreveport, Louisiana. "Shreveport has always been in my heart since leaving here at 6 years old and moving to California. I've always felt like I was in the right place every time I visited and lived here. I feel as if my roots were planted in the soil here. I feel at home." Aside from his current recording projects, Ron currently teaches the Wider Education Thru Music Participation, a program he developed from understanding and building rhythms. He also instructs young adults in the free Urban Music Workshop, as well promotes and organizes other community events thru the non-profit charitable educational corporation Playaz and Playettes, Inc.
